PASQUOTANK COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – An Eastern Carolina man is behind bars after deputies say he was investigated for having child pornography.

The Pasquotank Sheriff’s Office says Cody Baker was arrested Monday at his home on Cedar Street in Elizabeth City.

Baker, 22, was served with six warrants for felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Initially, Baker was granted a $30,000 bond. However, agents say they found cell phones, guns, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, several controlled substances, including marijuana and psilocybin, and $3,437 after raiding his home and two other homes on Parkers Lane.

Baker’s bond was increased to $60,000.00 due to the six felony warrants.

Deputies say Baker was also issued additional warrants for felony domestic violence protective order violation and was placed under detention for 48 hours.

Baker is currently in the Albemarle Jail on $105,000.00 bail.

Deputies say more charges are likely to be filed in this ongoing investigation.
