Autumn Lands Festival Set for Saturday at Historic Smithville Park

Burlington County is celebrating the arrival of fall with the Autumn Lands Festival at historic Smithville Park in Eastampton on Saturday, November 2. The free festival, which will run from 1 to 7 p.m., will feature a wide variety of seasonal food, music and entertainment. and activities for all ages.

Headlining this year’s event are the Ax Women Loggers of Maine, an all-female team of competitive logging sports athletes who will showcase their cutting, sawing, ax throwing and log rolling skills. Visitors can also explore a Viking encampment, enjoy performances by the Autumn Winds Circus, and take part in a hunt for classic movie monsters. Keep an eye out for Beetlejuice and other ghostly characters wandering the Smithville grounds and brave the haunted maze in the Smithville Mansion boxwoods.

The festival offers a variety of fall activities, including pumpkin painting, leaf pressing, and bonfire cupcakes. Attendees can vote for their favorite scarecrow on display along Park Avenue and enjoy a magic lantern show, live music, a beer garden, and food trucks.

As part of Burlington County’s ongoing Troll Trek public art exhibit, visitors can also see two of the 19 trolls located throughout the county during the festival.

Burlington County Commissioner Felicia Hopson praised the festival as a “fantastic way” to experience the natural beauty, art and history of Smithville, the county’s first park and the crown jewel of its park system. . Commissioner Allison Eckel, liaison to the Department of Parks and Resources Conservation, described the event as a fun, family-friendly occasion that celebrates the season with a diverse mix of art, entertainment, music and food.
