Shortly after releasing his new dark electro single, “Disease,” Lady Gaga has shared her official music video.

“I think a lot about the relationship I have with my own inner demons,” he wrote. “It has never been easy for me to face how I allow myself to be seduced by chaos and turmoil. It makes me feel claustrophobic. The illness is about facing that fear, facing myself and my inner darkness, and realizing that sometimes I can’t overcome or escape the parts of myself that scare me. That I can try to run away from them but they are still a part of me and I can run and run but eventually I will find that part of me again, even if it is for a moment. Dance, transform, run, purge. Again and again, back to myself. This integration is, ultimately, beautiful for me because it is mine and I have learned to manage it.”

She concluded by saying: “I am the conductor of my own symphony. I am each actor in the works that are my art and my life. No matter how scary the question is, the answers are within me. Essential and inextricable parts of what makes me be. I save myself if I keep going. I am my whole self, I am strong and I am up for the challenge. Happy Halloween.”

“Disease” came out last Friday after clues began to emerge regarding its release date. Last weekend, fans noticed a pop-up site on Universal Music posting preview saves of the single, with links to Apple Music and Spotify. Gaga also posted a playlist of past hits on Spotify with certain letters in upper and lower case, with the latter spelling “Gaga Disease.” Fans quickly realized that it pointed to gagadisease.com, which led to a series of websites that revealed some of the song’s lyrics.

Gaga is currently riding high on “Die With a Smile,” her duet with Mars that was released in August. The song has been a commercial juggernaut since its release, currently sitting at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 after previously peaking at No. 3. On Spotify, it has surpassed 770 million streams and its official video has amassed 230 million. . views on YouTube.

The pop star is preparing for the release of her seventh album, which is tentatively scheduled for February. Last month, she surprise-released “Harlequin,” a collection composed largely of American songbook standards and inspired by her role as Harley Quinn in the film “Joker: Folie à Deux.”
