Former president Trump claims US has worst borders in history at Mar-a-Lago speech

donald trump spoke at his home, Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, on Tuesday morning, focusing heavily on border protection.

The former president opened his speech by proclaiming that his campaign is doing well and that he is leading in several states.

He criticized Vice President Kamala Harris’s border policies, claiming she has an “open door policy” and stating his intention to change that.

Trump highlighted the issue of dangerous criminals being sent to the US from other countries, mentioning specific cases of illegal migrants with extensive criminal histories who tortured and killed two American girls. He declared that the US borders are “the worst in the history of the world,” with deadly drugs and dangerous gang members flooding into the country.

In an effort to strengthen border protection, Trump mentioned that his team is advocating for the death penalty for any illegal migrant who kills an American citizen, police officer, or law enforcement official.

He added that the US Border Patrol has once again endorsed him, and claimed the Border Patrol said they did not like working with Harris.

Turning his attention to the current economy, he criticized the Biden administration, stating that Harris and Joe Biden represent “the worst combination of Vice President and President in the history of our country.” He asserted that we are experiencing the worst inflation of our lifetimes and warned that we could be heading toward a depression.

He outlined his plan for economic revival, which includes implementing fair tariffs, a strategy he claimed to have effectively enacted during his previous time in office. He emphasized his accomplishment as the only president who successfully made China pay millions.

The discussion then shifted to Afghanistan and the thirteen soldiers who were killed. Trump expressed his deep appreciation for veterans and the military, stating that the operation has not received enough attention and claiming he would have handled it differently.

Trump concluded his speech by stating his rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday was a giant “love fest” full of citizens who love their country.
