Travis Kelce gives flowers to Brock Bowers after Chiefs vs. Raiders

Georgia fans are no strangers to the immediate impacts of former Bulldogs tight end Brock Bowers. He was the leading receiver in his first career game as a Bulldog against the Clemson Tigers in 2021. Now, as a rookie in the NFL, Bowers has been dominant from the first snap in Sunday league play. Bowers currently leads the league in receiving yards at the tight end position with 535 yards in just his first eight career games.

He’s already caught the attention of the game’s greats, including arguably the best receiving tight end in NFL history and current Kansas City boss Travis Kelce. After the Chiefs vs Raiders contest on Sunday night, Kelce made sure to catch up with Bowers.

Bowers leads all tight ends in receptions (52), yards (535) and receptions of 20+ yards (6). The Raiders recently traded wide receiver Davante Adams, likely enhancing the role Bowers is already playing as a rookie for the Raiders. Bowers profiles as an All-Pro rookie, something only position players like WR Justin Jefferson and LB Micah Parsons have accomplished in recent years in the NFL.
