Leo Woodall’s new conspiracy thriller confirms release date with first look

Apple TV+ has revealed a release date and first photos of Prime Target starring Leo Woodall.

The One Day and The White Lotus actor plays a math genius on the verge of a breakthrough in the upcoming conspiracy thriller series, hitting screens worldwide on January 22, 2025.

The first photos show Woodall in his role alongside Black Adam actor Quintessa Swindell, who plays a US government agent in the eight-part film.

“Prime Target is about a brilliant young math postgraduate, Edward Brooks (Woodall), who is on the verge of a big breakthrough. If he succeeds in finding a pattern in prime numbers, he will hold the key to every computer in the world ” the official said. synopsis reads.

Soon he begins to realize that an invisible enemy is trying to destroy his idea before it is even born, which brings him into the orbit of Taylah Sanders, a female NSA agent (Swindell) tasked with investigating the behavior of mathematicians in the monitor and report on it.

Other cast members include Stephen Rea, Sherwood’s David Morrissey, Game of Thrones actor Harry Lloyd and Jason Flemyng from Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.

Prime Target also stars Martha Plimpton, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Ali Suliman, Fra Fee and Joseph Mydell.

The thriller is executive produced and created by Sherlock and Vienna Blood writer Steve Thompson.

Top Boy’s Brady Hood directed all eight episodes, while Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions produced the series for Apple TV+.

The first two episodes of the series will premiere worldwide on the streaming platform in late January, with a new episode released weekly on Wednesdays through March 5, 2025.

Prime Target will launch worldwide on Apple TV+ on January 22, 2025.
