RHOSLC’s Lisa Barlow responds after Angie defends Katsaneva’s parenting comments

RHOSLC’s Lisa Barlow responds after Angie defends Katsaneva’s parenting comments

There’s an unwritten rule in the Housewives universe: never talk about another woman’s children. Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Angie Katsanevas feels Lisa Barlow broke that rule when she casually mentioned Angie’s daughter’s name.

Lisa claimed that Angie used her daughter as an excuse to end their phone conversations. When she wanted to end a conversation, Angie would say, “Elektra needs me.”

Angie wasn’t okay with Lisa mentioning her daughter’s name and clapped back that Lisa allowed her 12-year-old son Henry to play video games until 2 a.m.

Angie Katsanevas clarifies her statement

During the RHOSLC After Show, Angie clarified her original statement. “First of all, I never called Lisa a bad mother,” she said. “And number two, Lisa crossed the line with me by raising my daughter. I would be on the phone with Lisa from the moment I woke up – and this is real – probably 100 times a day… from morning to noon and afternoon to dinner to bedtime, and sometimes until 2 o’clock in the morning.

Angie said she was just very upset and hurt when she commented on Lisa’s son Henry gaming until the early hours.

“I gave Lisa so much time and withdrew from my family to do it,” Angie explained. “And so… when Lisa says, ‘You’re using your daughter as an excuse,’ we should never raise each other’s children. She’s small. She’s not older. I’m not a liar, and if I have to go, it’s because I’m a family woman. Actually, Elektra is 13, a year older than Henry, and Angie didn’t hesitate to bring his name into the conversation.

Despite Angie’s insistence that she never called Lisa a “bad mother,” Lisa felt like that was what Angie meant. “I mean, it’s such an insult to me And Henry that Angie told Heather (gay) that I’m actually a bad mother because my kids play video games until (two) in the morning, which would never happen.

Why did the fur-loving fashionista even mention Elektra? Lisa said she was only commenting on “a response to (Angie) saying, ‘You don’t talk to me anymore.'”

“I’m like, I’m busy, you’re busy, and I don’t feel safe telling you things because you’re going to repeat them all to Whitney (Rose),” Lisa continued. “So I brought up what (Angie) does. She told me she does it. You can call (Lisa’s husband) John (Barlow) right now, and he’ll say, ‘I was in the car, I heard it several times.’ She’ll say, “If I want to get on the phone with people, I tell Elektra to call.” And that’s what she started doing to me. She called me and then said: ‘Elektra is calling.’ I’m like, it’s 1 o’clock on Thursday.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
