Todd Chrisley can’t hold a job behind bars.

The “Chrisley Knows Best” alumnus, who is currently serving 12 years for bank fraud and tax evasion in a minimum-security federal prison, was fired from his job at the chapel for talking too much.

Chrisley, 55, was fired as his chaplain’s assistant after prison officials at the Pensacola, Florida, prison noticed the reality star was “becoming too talkative with certain inmates,” his attorney Jay Surgent told TMZ.

During his short-lived stint, the father of five had helped organize religious services and celebrations for Christian, Muslim and Jewish inmates, Surgent said, adding that Chrisley had “done a good job” before the firing.

Surgent added that the reason for Chrisley’s abrupt resignation was “for no reason” and that he will still be able to attend religious services.

A spokesperson for FPC Pensacola told the newspaper that “for privacy reasons, we do not comment on the conditions of confinement for incarcerated individuals, including their employment details.”

Chrisley was left “very disappointed and upset that he can no longer participate in the administration of religious services in Pensacola, which includes Christian, Jewish and Muslim services,” Surgent told People.

Still, the ordeal “has not affected his firm belief that God will ultimately work things out for him, Julie and his family,” the star’s attorney added.

The Post has reached out to representatives for FPC Pensacola and Chrisley for comment.

In June 2022, a jury found Todd and his wife Julie guilty of conspiring to defraud community banks of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans. They were also found guilty of tax evasion and conspiracy to defraud the IRS.

Their accountant, Peter Tarantino, was also jailed.

Todd is expected to be released in June 2032, while his wife will be released from her prison in Lexington, Kentucky in April 2028.

The couple’s lawyers say they were “extremely disappointed” after a major setback in which the judge upheld their 84-month prison sentence.

Chrisley has been open about his experiences in prison, even though he is in one of the most comfortable prisons in America.

He complains about the “disgustingly filthy” living conditions in the slammer, poor meal options and spotting animals where food is kept.

He recently expressed concerns about his wife’s “health and well-being.”
