The structure of school fees for the Pre-primary and Junior KG batch 2024-25 has sparked outrage on social media due to the ‘parent orientation fee’, a one-time fee for pre-primary and kindergarten students. Besides the admission fee of Rs 55,600 for nursery and junior KG, the school also charges more than Rs 30,000 as ‘warning fee’.

Dr. Jagdish Chaturvedi, an ENT surgeon and stand-up comedian, posted a photo of the school fee structure on X (formerly Twitter). The post contained the caption: “8400 INR Parent Orientation Fee! No parent will ever agree to pay even 20% of this for a doctor’s consultation…’

He also humorously noted, “I plan to open a school now.”

Moreover, the image specifies that the total amount due at the time of admission is Rs 1,51,656, excluding the orientation fee to be paid at the time of registration.

In April this year, a Delhi man revealed that he paid a staggering Rs 4.3 lakh for his son’s school fees. Akash Kumar shared his experience on X (formerly Twitter) and said, “My son’s school fees are more than my entire education expenses. I hope he learns to play well here.”

Kumar also attached a screenshot of the fee structure, which detailed Rs 10,000 as registration fee, four installment fees of Rs 98,750 each, and an additional recurring annual fee of Rs 25,000.
