Police investigate indecent exposure at Washington-Liberty HS pool

A man allegedly exposed himself in the women’s locker room of the Washington-Liberty High School swimming pool Monday evening.

The incident happened around 6.45pm but was not reported until two hours later. The swimming pool is open to the public during that time, outside school hours.

UNDECENT EXPOSURE (End), 2024-1020179, 1300 block of N. Quincy Street. On October 21 at approximately 8:32 p.m., police were dispatched on the overdue report of an exposure. Upon arrival, which was determined at approximately 6:45 p.m., the victim entered a women’s locker room and observed the suspect exposing himself. The suspect is described as a white male, 55 – 60 years old, 6 feet tall with blond hair. The investigation is ongoing.

Also included in the crime report was an alleged attempted carjacking of a driver near the courthouse. That incident happened shortly after midnight on Tuesday.

ATTEMPTED CARJACKING, 2024-10220002, 1300 block of N. Rolfe Street. At approximately 12:09 a.m. on October 22, police were dispatched to reports that an attack was in progress. Upon arrival, witnesses reported seeing two suspects physically assault a rideshare driver in his vehicle before the suspects fled the scene on foot. The victim left the scene of the accident in his car prior to police arrival and attempts to contact him were unsuccessful. Officers conducted a search of the area for the suspects, which yielded negative results. The suspects are described as two young men with a slim build and facial coverings. The investigation is ongoing.
