ITV Coronation Street fans slam David Platt’s ‘mistake’ as they ‘work out’ house twist

Adam was surprised when he heard Damon’s message. He didn’t inform Sarah, but instead confided in Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard). While sharing the news with Daniel, recurring character Jesse Chadwick (John Thomson) came over and started talking to Adam.

Later, Adam chose to reveal the truth to Sarah, who then contacted Damon claiming that she had only just found out about the money. However, her ex was surprised when he revealed that his employee had inspected the lock-up and discovered the money was missing, sparking another whodunnit.

Sarah claimed that Adam was behind Damon’s missing money from storage, but he vehemently denied involvement and cleared both his and Daniel’s names. Sarah then accused Jesse of stealing the money, but on Monday night it was revealed that her brother David was the real money thief.

It is likely that David stole the money to buy his mother Gail Platt’s (Helen Worth) house as she put it up for sale to pay granddaughter Bethany’s medical bills.

However, soap watchers quickly spotted a ‘flaw’ in David’s master plan when they took to Twitter, now X, to share their thoughts.

One person said: “DAVID! oh dear!!!!! he has the money, not sure if you can buy the house with it. Or can you? #corrie”, another account wrote: “Gail could definitely make over 50,000 asking dollars for the house,” while another added: “#corrie I had a slight feeling David had the money. What is he going to do with it?”
