WiseTech Global: WiseTech Global’s board will investigate payments to the CEO’s former partner

Australian technology company WiseTech Global said on Monday it was reviewing a “full range of matters” involving its billionaire CEO after media reports made allegations about his personal life, including payments to a former sexual partner.

The Australian Financial Review and other media reported that a woman who had a sexual relationship with the billionaire chef made a series of claims against Richard White in late 2020, including allegations that he had engaged in inappropriate behavior.

White, the billionaire founder and major shareholder of WiseTech, was not immediately available for comment, while WiseTech did not immediately respond.

According to the reports, White, 69, had reached out to numerous female entrepreneurs via text messages and social media with offers of professional support that could turn into crude or suggestive language.

The growing media attention on White’s private life, with media reports continuing to emerge, is now starting to impact the company’s reputation, with shares down more than 11% since the start of the month.

White has also continued to sell his stake in the technology company. During the latest sell-off, White sold 351,038 shares at an average price of A$131.22 each between October 11 and 17, according to a notice filed on Friday.
