AMANDA PLATELL: Cheating on Kyle’s wife should get him red card for good

AMANDA PLATELL: Cheating on Kyle’s wife should get him red card for good

When the wife of serial sweetheart Kyle Walker, the slick Manchester City star, handed over divorce papers to her errant husband, a shout of joy was heard from every woman who had been lied to and cheated on.

Finally, Annie took Kyle to the cleaners after years of infidelity. She had suffered the public humiliation of his on-off mistress Lauryn Goodman who flaunted the two children he had by her and had gone through with the marriage. But it seemed like she finally wanted to leave. She was determined to get at least half of his £27 million fortune.

Friends say Kyle was devastated and blindsided by her decision. But as the Mail reveals, when news of their divorce broke, they were relaxing in the family home in Cheshire watching TV.

People close to the couple said they were “continuing to work on the marriage” and would care for their four sons together. It’s what they call a “no-split divorce,” where Annie gets her financial security and Kyle continues to live with the woman he claims he loves.

Lord alive, how many times does he have to cheat on her before Annie kicks him out for good? After all, this is a man who, according to claims made by ex-Man City star Benjamin Mendy in court documents this week, took part in consensual orgies with women at his home during Covid restrictions.

AMANDA PLATELL: Cheating on Kyle’s wife should get him red card for good

Annie Kilner has been served divorce papers on cheating husband Kyle Walker after suffering the public humiliation of his on-off mistress Lauryn Goodman showing off the two children he had with her

Perhaps this co-parenting is Annie’s revenge – a defiant message to Lauryn that she will never be with the father of her two children. To me it looks like weakness. In this sad, sordid tale of greed, sex and revenge, there are no winners.

Why on earth did Annie let him stay?

Professor of immunology John Trowsdale says many children today have allergies because parents insist that their lives are too clean and that even pet dirt is good for us. My mother always said it was good for us if our tea came complete with cat and dog hair and the occasional blowfly in the gravy.

My secret sign

Now I realize that we should embrace the fuller figure in all its beauty and think that plus-size model Ashley Graham in the Victoria’s Secret parade is a woman to be celebrated. So I posted her photo on my refrigerator door – to remind me not to finish the entire container of Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream before going to bed.

The World Conker Championships have been embroiled in a cheating row with claims that ‘King Conker’ David Jakins had hidden a metal conker in his pocket and may have secretly used it for unfair advantage. What’s happier? That there is a cheating feud at the World Conker Championship?

Or that such competition should even exist? God bless Blighty.

Westminster Wars

  • After giving Taylor Swift a taxpayer-funded police escort to her concerts and pocketing £2,800 in free tickets for him and his family, Keir Starmer, leader of the world’s sixth most powerful country, is getting a ‘brush of’ 10-minute ‘meet and greet’ with Swift. Does he have no dignity?
  • Kemi Badenoch says she would nominate JK Rowling for her stance against trans extremists. A bit embarrassing, considering the lifelong Labor supporter who gave Gordon Brown £1m when he was Prime Minister would almost certainly reply: ‘Expelliarmus.’
  • Not a day goes by without another senior minister – there are six and counting – claiming they’ve taken free Swiftie tickets. I’d have more respect for Labor if they’d brought freebies to watch Bruce Springsteen.

Domestic abuse charity Women’s Aid is outraged that Wynne Evans put his hand on Strictly partner Katya Jones’ waist and is not treated more seriously. She emphasizes that ‘groping is never a joke’.

Oh, get over yourselves ladies and focus on the over two million women who are the real victims of sexual abuse. Wynne’s hand was on her waist, not on her skirt.

Ahead of the new film Gladiator II, Paul Mescal poses for GQ magazine as gladiator Lucius, son of Russell Crowe’s Maximus.

Tiny, 6-foot-4 Mescal in skimpy black panties with nary a breast bulge in sight, versus the magnificently muscular 6-foot-4 Crowe in his prime in the original film? We fans are wondering how long it will take for the lions to eat the new cubs.

Fall in love

The Netflix documentary Sweet Bobby: My Catfish Nightmare tells the true story of Kirat Assi who was tricked into believing she was in an online relationship with a man named Bobby for nine years, even though they had barely met.

No alarm bells ever went off – not when he said he’d been shot six times, or claimed he was in a witness protection program so they couldn’t meet, or had a stroke that left him unable to even talk.

The series should really have been called How Stupid Can One Woman Be.

The naked truth about mom Heidi

The photos left many questioning her parenting skills, with one asking: ‘What normal mother would pose in lingerie with her daughter?’ Answer: A mother with almost naked ambition for her offspring.

Giovanni Pernice left Strictly following Amanda Abbington’s claims of bullying against him – which were largely dismissed. Now the Channel 4 series he has been working on, Celebrity Hunted, will air in January after being paused due to the BBC investigation. As judge Craig Revel Horwood would say: ‘A disaster darling’… for Amanda.

The abuse that ten-year-old Sara Sharif suffered before her death is horrific. But after neighbors revealed in court that they heard ‘heartbreaking screams’, I wondered why they hadn’t reported it to the police – or knocked on the door.

The outpouring of grief following the death of One Direction’s Liam Payne has been heartbreaking, especially from his bandmates. Still, you wonder how often they extended a caring hand to him as they pursued their solo careers and whether his closest friends’ compassion was only in one direction: toward themselves.

BBC should say no to Brendan

There is something seriously wrong with the BBC continuing to broadcast a Christmas special of Mrs Brown’s Boys after actor Brendan O’Carroll made a joke suggesting the use of the N-word during a rehearsal.

The only N-word the BBC should say is ‘No’ to a series made by a terrible man.
