Shocked by the response, the brunette beauty took to social media to respond to haters.

The content creator shared a clip online of her standing in front of the iconic Disney castle wearing a cropped red T-shirt and red and white gingham check shorts.

She paired the outfit with red Adidas sambas and a pair of Minnie Mouse ears.

But alongside the clip, Jessie drew attention to a comment from a troll that read, “Inappropriate for Disney.”

In response to the rude comment, Jessie responded and wrote: “This outfit??? Inappropriate for Disney??

“It’s actually one of my favorites!! Let’s stop judging girls’ outfits!!”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @jessie.may, has clearly left many open-mouthed as it quickly racked up 62,600 views.

But social media users were completely divided over Jessie’s outfit – while some thought it was ‘perfect’ and saw no problem, others called it a ‘breaking of the dress code’.

One fashion fan beamed: “There is literally nothing wrong with this outfit, it’s adorable. I’m a cast member and I’ve seen much more revealing than this.

I was bullied for being a ‘big girl’ but now love my 5ft 5in ass – I still get body shamed at Disneyland

A second chimed in: “Literally the PERFECT outfit for Disney.”

Someone else explained: “I don’t understand the problem. They’re just legs, not like walking around naked. All essentials covered.”

Meanwhile, another wrote: “What are these comments, I’m obsessed.”

I actually just looked it up and according to Disney policy she is violating the dress code

But at the same time someone asked, “Is that a diaper?”

Another added: “That was inappropriate. You went to a family park with kids and acted like a stripper in that video.”

Is there a dress code for wearing crop tops in public?

The concept of ‘dress codes’ typically applies to specific environments such as schools, workplaces or certain institutions where dress codes are enforced to maintain a particular standard or atmosphere.

However, in public spaces the situation is generally more relaxed and governed by social norms rather than strict rules.

That said, whether or not you can have a dress code when wearing a crop top in public largely depends on the context and location:

Public areas: In most public spaces, such as parks, streets and beaches, wearing a crop top is generally acceptable and unlikely to have any formal consequences. People have the freedom to dress as they wish, provided they adhere to basic standards of decency and local laws.

Branches and locations: Some restaurants, shops or clubs may have their own dress codes. A crop top may not meet the dress requirements for more formal locations. In such cases, staff may politely request that you adhere to their dress code or refuse entry.

Schools and workplaces: Educational institutions and workplaces often have dress codes. Crop tops may be considered inappropriate in these circumstances and you may be asked to change into more appropriate clothing.

Cultural and regional considerations: In certain cultures or regions, the norms and expectations surrounding acceptable clothing can vary greatly. It is always a good idea to know and respect local customs and dress codes when traveling.

While a third commented: “I actually just looked it up and according to Disney policy she is breaking the dress code and she works/worked there which is even more shocking.”

Jessie clapped back at the haters and posted a follow-up clip, replying, “Who knew wearing shorts and a T-shirt to Disney would cause such a stir? People are so mad at me because of this outfit.”

Jessie confirmed that she worked at Disney and has been going to Walt Disney Worlds with her family for 15 years.

To be honest, you want to wear as little clothing as possible while still being acceptable because it’s so hot

The young woman then looked at the official Disney dress code and said, “It says things like ‘no overly torn clothing,’ where my clothes had no tears, ‘no clothes with swear words on them or anything offensive,’ which again, it was a red gingham outfit, so nothing like that.

“But I think they’re talking about the bit that says, ‘You shouldn’t show too much skin’ – I was obviously wearing a top that goes up to the top of my neck and sleeves, but it stops just above that. my belly button.

“And then I wear low-rise shorts, which completely cover everything. I had my legs out and my stomach out, so if that’s what excessive amounts of skin means, I’m really sorry.”

Jessie explained that she wouldn’t classify her outfit as having ‘excessive skin’ and admitted that although her stomach was out of sorts, it was due to the 40 degree heat in Florida.

As a result, she concluded, “I was there all summer, I worked there, I saw hundreds if not thousands of guests a day and I would say my outfit probably matches what 90% of people wear to the parks, which is shorts and a tank top because honestly you want to wear as little clothing as possible while still being acceptable because it’s so hot.
