Scottie Scheffler confirms he will likely copy Tiger Woods at the 2025 Masters

Scottie Scheffler has confirmed he plans to take a leaf out of it Tiger Forest‘ book when he tries to defend his Masters title in 2025.

It will still be more than seven months before there is a tradition unlike any other, but the passion for what will be the first major of the year is slowly starting to build.

What exactly should golf fans look forward to in the coming months?

The launch of TGL? Yawn. The confrontation? Also yawning.

Give us some major championship drama and put it in our veins.

Scheffler hopped on GOLF’s Subpar this week to discuss his stellar performance on the course in 2024, his arrest and his Olympic success.

He also discussed what he plans to serve at the champions’ dinner at Augusta National next April.

The two-time major champion admitted he might dial it back and offer guests the same menu.

If it’s not broken, why fix it?

After Scheffler won his first Masters title in 2022, his guests had the choice of cheeseburger sliders, firecracker shrimp or tortilla soup as an appetizer.

Texas ribeye steak or blackened rockfish were the choices offered for the main course.

And for dessert? Warm cookie with chocolate chips.

Scheffler told the pod, “I’m wondering if I should just have the exact same menu.

“It was quite delicious; they’re all my favorite foods. I don’t really know what else I could do. I think it would be quite nice to have the exact same food.”

The aforementioned Woods opted for steak, chicken, sushi and sashimi during the 2002 Masters.

In 2020, a year after his unlikely victory, he served exactly the same.

Sir Nick Faldo also went for fish and chips twice.

Main course: Traditional Southern BBQ (with smoked meat)
Dessert: Confetti cake, vanilla ice cream

Adam Scott (2014)
