Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday’s (October 16) episode which is now available to watch on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 at 7pm.

Hollyoaks fans have been left devastated as Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) and Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) have split.

The popular couple, known to viewers of the Channel 4 soap as HayRay, came together on screen earlier this year after Lucas bravely came out and admitted his feelings for Dillon, who has been nothing but supportive of the struggling teenager.

But a time jump a year into the future changed things forever, with the missing twelve months being quite traumatic for the couple, with Lucas being sent to live with young offenders after attacking abuser JJ Osborne (Ryan Mulvey) over what he had Frankie affected (Isabelle Smit).

Dillon, meanwhile, cheated on the captured Lucas with Leah Barnes (Ela-May Demircan), who subsequently gave birth to his baby.

The storyline, which received quite a bit of backlash from upset fans, took a turn earlier this week, with Frankie discovering the truth when she ordered Dillon to come clean to Lucas following his release.

Lucas walked back to the village on Wednesday and wasted little time reuniting with Dillon, telling him how happy he was to see him.

However, Dillon felt unable to go through with the lie and as Frankie’s ultimatum weighed heavily on him, he decided to devote time to his relationship with Lucas.

Lucas was devastated and ordered Dillon to elaborate, unable to process why his friend would do this to him.

Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) witnessed the heated confrontation and got involved in an attempt to cool down the situation, but Lucas responded by punching him in the face.

Ste (Kieron Richardson) scolded his son and reiterated that violence is not the answer, and after a while Lucas opened up to his father and told him that he knows very well that there is something wrong with Dillon breaking up with him. it.

Will he find out the truth? Will Dillon finally come clean about cheating on him with his sister?

That remains to be seen, but it’s safe to say fans are devastated by this latest development.

“Lucas loves Dillon so much, imagine expressing that they are the reason you got through jail and then not even a minute later they dump you,” one social media user exclaimed.

“He looked so devastated and I can totally see Lucas blaming himself… he doesn’t deserve any of this.”

Another agreed, writing: “I’m so mad at Lucas. This sucks so much.”

Darren added: ‘I honestly can’t believe I invested MONTHS of my life in Dillon & Lucas on Hollyoaks for them to do them like this. YOU CAN’T LET THEM BE HAPPY FOR MORE THAN 5 MINUTES?!?! #Hollyoaks
