Tommy Fury says Molly-Mae Haag is the ‘best mother’ to their daughter Bambi as he talks about balancing fatherhood and his career

Tommy Fury has said estranged fiancée Molly-Mae Haag is the “best mother” to their daughter Bambi as he opened up about his family on Monday.

The former Love Island star, 25, revealed how he balances fatherhood with his career after splitting with the influencer, also 25, this summer.

Tommy explained how “nothing affects” their 21-month-old daughter’s childhood as she is the former couple’s main priority.

Speaking to Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie on Capital XTRA Breakfast, the boxer said: ‘She has a great family around her. She has what I think is the best dad in me, and she has the best mom in Molly.

“She has an incredible family and despite everything that happens, nothing affects that child’s childhood, and that’s the most important thing. So she’s going to have a great time.’

Tommy went on to say that ‘everything he does in life is for Bambi’ and he plans his work and training around her ballet and swimming lessons.

He continued, “At the end of the day, nothing beats my daughter, Bambi. She is everything in my life. She is the best thing I have in my life, and everything I do now is for her.

“Every time I step in the ring, it’s to make sure she has a safe future, and that she doesn’t have to worry. And everything revolves around her.

“So the most important thing is that I schedule my schedule around her swimming lessons, her ballet, her messy play, her gymnastics, and whatever she’s doing, I’ll say, ‘Okay, Bambi’s got this right now, she’s going there, I’m taking take her along.” As if nothing will get in the way.

“I think it’s all about being a dad and being the best dad because that’s all I want to do. My only goal in life now is for Bambi to grow up, and all the kids who have that to grow up and say, ‘You know what? I had a wonderful father. He is the best dad in the world, and I love him very much.”

“That means more to me than any title in the ring, any fighting style, any victory, any amount of money you can collect. I think that is the most important thing about your children.’

It comes after Tommy refused to comment on claims he cheated on Molly-Mae during his first TV appearance on This Morning last week.

During the segment, Tommy spoke about the tough recent times leading up to the release of his first memoir Lighting Can Strike Twice: My Life as a Fury – during which he was bombarded with questions from hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard.

The boxer said: ‘Bambi, in my opinion, has the best father in me, and she has the best mother in Molly. Despite everything that happens, nothing affects that child’s childhood.”

Tommy went on to say that ‘everything he does in life is for Bambi’ and he plans his work and training around her ballet and swimming lessons.

When Tommy brought up the accusation of cheating on Molly-Mae and his denial in the book, he simply said, “A lot of things have been exposed.”

‘The whole world has seen what we’ve been through in the last few months, but yes, I added a final chapter (in the book) where I talked about all my feelings and how I felt during this time and to bring everyone up to date date.’

“It was tough, but you can read about that.”

He added, “Me, Molly and Bambi are a family unit, and we’re going to handle this privately.”

Asked if he would get back together with Molly because the pair and Bambi seem like a “great team,” he said: “Yes. Like I said, they’re my family and I love them until the day I die.”

“There have been many critics, and there will be critics until the day I die.”

‘Everyone will point the finger if there is a bandwagon to jump on. But ultimately, out of respect for Molly, and out of respect for myself and our relationship, I’ll let us deal with this as privately as possible.’

“I’m just happy to be here today and talk about my book. I want to leave all that stuff to Molly and me, because we owe ourselves the respect for it.’

In his first interview after their split, Tommy told The Mail his side of the story, saying he “absolutely did not cheat on her.”

Tommy admitted: ‘It’s real love. Do I still love Molly? 100 percent. I will love her till my last breath.”

‘I know what I have to do to solve things. And that’s on me. No one but me can do that.’

Over the summer, Molly-Mae shared the shocking news that she had split from fiancé Tommy after months of on-and-off speculation.

According to reports, Tommy had been dumped by her after he ‘cheated on her with a Danish woman he met’ while on holiday in North Macedonia.

Commenting on the rumours, he said: “All allegations made against me recently are completely false. The truth will come out in due time and when it does, I think many people will regret their actions and unkind words.”

‘What the public thinks is going on is not what is going on. It’s not something I expected, but it didn’t come out of nowhere. It’s something that’s happened before during all of this, but the only people who know what’s going on in our relationship are me and Molly.”

Meanwhile, Molly-Mae has been focusing on her clothing line, which launched earlier this month, and told MailOnline she was looking forward to a “new era” in her life after the split.

In an exclusive interview, the influencer said she was feeling “emotional” but was putting all her energy into caring for her daughter Bambi and her new clothing line Maebe.

She said it had been a juggling act over the past six months and she was finding both parenting and running her existing business ‘difficult’.

But navigating the launch of her fashion label alongside the end of her five-year relationship has given Molly the chance to focus on the next chapter, as she admits: ‘It was really good timing for me to make this happen. It all fits perfectly.’

Over the summer, Molly-Mae shared the shocking news that she had split from fiancé Tommy after months of on-and-off speculation.

Molly told MailOnline: ‘When I became a mother I changed a lot as a person and several things became important to me in terms of fashion, it was the right time to launch Maebe. I was really ready to sink my teeth into something new.’

“I feel really good about this new era in my life and think it’s going to be so special and amazing for me to focus on and invest my time in, in addition to being a mother to Bambi.”

‘It was a very good moment for me to make this happen. It’s actually all perfectly coordinated. I’m so excited about it… I really feel great about the brand. I see that Maebe has a great future.’

She added: “I know that if I take the right steps with it and I do this right, I can really see it becoming really huge and becoming one of those brands that everyone knows and that’s my dream and my goal. ‘

The launch of Molly’s brand has been three years in the making, after her plans were put on hold following Bambi’s birth in January 2023.

It was a milestone in Molly’s career after years of lending her name to brands like Beauty Works and PrettyLittleThing, where she even stepped up as creative director in 2021.
