Trigger Point – ITV confirms series 3 of the bomb disposal thriller

Vicky McClure returns as Lana Washington to protect London from explosives and terrorist threats.

ITV has confirmed a third series of the thriller Trigger point.

The show, from Jed Mercurio’s HTM Television, stars Vicky McClure as bomb disposal agent or ‘expo’ Lana Washington and her team.

The returning cast includes Eric Shango (On the edge), Nabil Elouahabi (Unforgotten), Natalie Simpson (North Sea connection) and Maanuv Thiara (DI Ray).

This is the starting point for this Trigger point Series 3:

In this third series, bomb squad officer Lana Washington and her team are called to investigate a bomb threat that soon turns out to be the start of a sinister vendetta. Someone is targeting individuals and exacting revenge. The Bomb Disposal Squad teams up with the police’s Counterterrorism Unit and races against time to find the bomber before they claim their next victim.

Bloodlands writer Chris Brandon is the head writer for series 3. The directors are Jamie Donoughue (Doctor Who) and Audrey Cooke (DI Ray), the series producer is Kristian Dench (Red eyes). Jed Mercurio, Daniel Walker (The tourist), Jessica Sharkey (Derry girls), Chris Brandon and Vicky McClure executive producers.

Trigger point series 3 will go into production in London in 2025. We will keep you informed.
