Former medical assistant at Irving Children’s Practice is charged with child indecency for the second time

A medical assistant who previously worked at a North Texas pediatrician’s office is facing a second charge of indecency toward a child, officials said.

Twenty-five-year-old Angel Nunez was arrested on October 9. He is accused of inappropriate sexual contact with a 9-year-old in January 2024 at Little Spurs Pediatrics in Irving, according to an Irving Police Department news release. .

Nunez worked at Little Spurs Pediatrics offices in Fort Worth, Irving, Grand Prairie and Arlington between August 2023 and August 2024. He was initially arrested on September 5 after police investigators were made aware of allegations that he sexually abused multiple children during their medical examinations. , officials said.

He was released from the Dallas County Jail on September 7 on $100,000 bail.

An investigation revealed that Nunez “had inappropriate sexual contact with multiple juvenile patients on several occasions,” police said in a Sept. 26 news release. “These patients thought they were getting a medical exam and did not know at the time that they were being abused.”

Little Spurs opened an internal investigation into Nunez and terminated his employment, the clinic said in a statement.

The investigation into this case is ongoing. According to the release, the circumstances surrounding the second sex crime were similar to what happened to two victims who came forward in August.
