New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday alleged that no action was taken against the medical superintendent of a government hospital, who was accused of sexually harassing a woman doctor.

The Rajya Sabha member further alleged that though no action was taken by the MS, an investigation had been initiated against the woman who had provided all the evidence. “When the woman doctor complained, she was transferred… accusing the MS of sexual harassment,” Singh accused. “Do you want to repeat the Kolkata incident in Delhi? Are you waiting for a similar case in Delhi?’ Singh questioned LG.
The LG office claimed that the health department itself had submitted a proposal for the transfer of the accused doctor in November 2023. The National Capital Civil Service Authority, which is chaired by CM, had to take a decision in this regard. “The proposal has been under consideration by the NCCSA since December 2023. The then CM decided on it only in March 2024 and even when he was released on bail. The proposal is again awaiting the decision of the NCCSA,” said a Raj Niwas official. .
The official claimed that the woman doctor was shifted to the place of choice after consultation with her and the recommendations of the ICC. “It is absurd to blame her for being transferred with a vengeance. That she is under investigation is also a blatant lie,” he said.
“In a lame attempt to shift the focus from the gruesome tragedy of RG Kar Medical College, Singh is implicating his own leader Arvind Kejriwal and the current CM, Atishi,” the official further alleged.
