Coronation Street video confirms Joel’s cause of death and it’s brutal | Soaps

Now that evil Joel Deering (Calum Lill) has been murdered, the hunt for his killer continues in Coronation Street next week.

And as our spoiler video reveals, police make their first big break when it is confirmed how the abuser met his end.

In this scene from Wednesday’s episode, Detective Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) – who has been taken off the case – manages to get Joel’s post-mortem results back from Kit Green (Jacob Roberts).

While she has to extract details from him, he then reveals that Joel died from two blows to the head, delivered by a heavy weapon.

He states that the weapon was most likely a crowbar, which was used to break into his apartment.

Later in the episode, Lisa gets a clue when she learns from Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) that she kicked out Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) because she discovered he had a crowbar.

She later warns daughter Besty Swain (Sydney Martin) to stay away from Mason, but she warns her boyfriend that the police are on his trail.

Behind the factory, Mason throws the crowbar into a bin, but is caught red-handed by Kit…

Could Mason really have killed Joel?

Actor Jacob Roberts, who plays Kit, recently revealed: ‘Kit’s priority is to get to the bottom of who killed Joel. “He knows someone is lying, everyone is acting sly on the street and there are a few potential perpetrators.

Lisa, now off the case, puts it in Kit’s head that Mason could be the suspect because he had a crowbar, which makes Kit’s eyes light up.

“When he visits Mason, he finds him with a crowbar and Kit brings him in for questioning, but I think this is just the beginning…”

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, October 16 at 8pm on ITV1 and from 7am on ITVX.
