Man convicted of grand theft

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. (WVVA) – A Wyoming, West Virginia man was sentenced to one to three years for Grand Larceny on October 9 after pleading guilty to the charge. The information comes from the Wyoming County Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the complaint, on October 28, 2023, police responded to reports of a fight in East Pineville. Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with the burglary victims, who said they had received information from a concerned citizen that 45-year-old Jessie Tolliver was in their laundromat.

The victims found Tolliver in possession of their plumbing tools worth more than $1,000, and prosecutors said Tolliver then walked away.

Sergeant Sizemore saw Tolliver running away and detained him, and the prosecutor said Tolliver then admitted his involvement.
