CASA’s “Uncorked” fundraiser is scheduled for October 24

North Idaho CASA will host its fall fundraiser, “Uncorked,” on Thursday, October 24 at the Hagadone Event Center.

This event benefits the First Judicial District Court Appointed Special Advocates program, the only nonprofit organization advocating for child victims in court.

CASA trains advocates for more than 240 victims of child abuse and neglect in North Idaho. These attorneys investigate child protection cases, represent the child’s interests in court and help find a safe home with a forever family, according to a news release.

Keynote speakers Dolly Webb and Jan Rust will share their stories of advocacy and friendship. An 18-year-old success story, Webb was first assigned to Rust as her attorney at age 3.

“Webb has since emerged from the system, healed from her traumatic childhood and now chooses to live a life of success and sobriety to follow her dreams. Jan has been steadfast in her loving support through it all,” said the release.

The event includes dinner and auctions.

Tickets cost $125.
