Yakuza Kiwami Developer Confirms Release of Physical Switch, Limited Edition Distribution

As many predicted, the physical Switch version of Yakuza Kiwami will be distributed by Limited Run Games. You can download the standard edition of the game $34.99 USD (expected to ship March 1 – 31, 2025) or a Classic Edition for $74.99 USD (expected to ship April 1 – April 30, 2025).

In addition to a copy of the game, the Classic Edition also includes a cover art, soundtrack, acrylic standee, mesuking cards and character cards. Pre-orders for both versions are now live.

While it was starting to look like Yakuza Kiwami would be limited to a “download distribution” on the Switch, developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has now shared a promising update.

According to a short post on the official social media account, there will be a “physical option” for Yakuza Kiwami on Switch. More updates will be shared over time, so stay tuned!

No other details about the physical release have been shared yet. However, when we know more, we will be sure to let you know.

For now, the digital version of the game will be released later this month October 24, 2024with pre-orders now live for the eShop release in select locations.
