Riverside County coach arrested for alleged inappropriate sexual contact with students

A Riverside County high school coach was arrested for allegedly having inappropriate sexual contact with students.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect was identified as Jesse Gonsalez Lopez, 27, of Perris.

In August 2024, officers responded to a high school in the 100 block of Nuevo Road in Perris to investigate claims that an employee had “inappropriate contact with students.”

Specific details about the allegations have not been released. However, on October 10, investigators determined that sufficient evidence had been presented to take Lopez into custody.

He was arrested on charges of child annoyance, sexual arousal and lewd and lascivious acts with a minor.

The case remains under investigation and no further details have been released.
