Violence, shouting, overcrowding: what is it really like in prison? | British news

Sky News has been given exclusive access to HMP Elmley in Kent, a prison operating at almost full capacity. Our correspondent Mollie Malone has been inside the prison just as more than 1,000 prisoners have been released early to ease overcrowding.

Joined by Niall Paterson, Mollie shares the chaos she witnessed, from the noise and violence faced by staff, to the struggles of prisoners dealing with drug addiction and mental health issues. They also explore what life inside tells us about the current state of the British prison system.
