Jillian Lavin’s breakup

Jillian Lavin is a content creator and singer who performs under her stage name Spritely.

She is known for creating a viral breakup video that was first shared on TikTok on October 14, 2024.

According to the lyrics of Jillian’s song, she had been dating a man in Los Angeles for more than three years when he told her he wanted to move back to Texas to be closer to his father.

Jillian decided to move across the country to join him, spending hundreds of dollars on moving and other costs to set up their new home, completely depleting her savings.

When her boyfriend returned from a family vacation, he handed her a handwritten letter explaining why they were not right for each other and that their three-year relationship was no more.

Jillian was heartbroken and eventually moved back home to live with her mother in Florida.

According to the singer, her boyfriend claimed in the note that they “had nothing in common.”

“How? Why didn’t I notice it this whole time?” Lavin wondered.

“Three and a half years of happiness. We’ve been incompatible this whole time and haven’t had anything in common for three and a half years?

“Wow, what a surprise. Thanks for letting me know,” Lavin sang sarcastically, as snippets of himself crying throughout the video.

Jillian captioned her viral TikTok: “Anyway, how are you?”

Some people even believed that her boyfriend’s sudden reason for her divorce was because he was dating someone else.

Jillian strongly denies this, telling The Cut: “People are speculating: was there another woman? Did his family talk him out of it?

“No, knowing him there is no other influence.

“It was purely a decision he made, and I think he denied it for so long because he’s so out of touch with his emotions.

“He said that the moment we moved to Texas together, he no longer loved me, and I think it’s his fault for bottling up these worries long enough for that to happen.”
