Police and municipality are taking action against inappropriate parking in the city center

Wrexham Council and North Wales Police have announced a crackdown on irresponsible parking.

It comes after a series of complaints about vehicles being parked incorrectly or inconsiderately around the city centre.

As a result, North Wales Police will work with the local authority to “tackle vehicles causing an obstruction or parking dangerously.”

Anyone who parks irresponsibly risks a fine.

Councilor Mark Pritchard, Leader of the Council responsible for parking enforcement, said: “Some motorists have parked their vehicles indiscriminately, creating obstacles and blocking roads.

“We really don’t want to give people tickets, but if motorists park carelessly and endanger the safety of pedestrians and other road users, we have no choice but to impose a parking fine on them.

“Both the council and police are asking everyone to park safely and legally and help keep our roads safe for everyone.”
