Emtee claims he still hosts his own shows despite the deal with Empire Africa – Nehanda Radio

South African rapper Emtee has said his back is against the wall lately as his close associates steal from him, while his record label Empire Africa has also failed to promote his upcoming album.

A year ago, after the rapper announced he had retained the services of a manager for the first time in his career, he said nothing seemed to have changed in a career that seemed to be on a downward spiral, with allegations of substance abuse.

The rapper, who has been promising a new album for almost a year, revealed in a statement that he could not do anything about the release because his hands were tied.

“I can’t remember one thing they did for me. “I host my own shows, people steal from me, so they laugh and say ‘he lost everything’, no, you stole from me,” the statement reads.

Emtee, who left his previous label, Ambitiouz Records, on controversial terms, said the grass was not greener on the other side as he found his new bosses negligent.

“Back to the actual story. The night before the meeting with the CEO, 365 days ago. My supporters, family, friends and colleagues have been asking me about this album.

“This has to be the worst moment of my life. I can’t post anything without millions of supporters asking about the album. Ambitiouz was hell, but they didn’t make me wait a year to even care.”
