Most obituaries published in Reading Eagle are submitted through funeral homes and cremation services, but we will accept submissions from families. Obituaries can be emailed to [email protected].

In addition to the obituary text, you can attach any photographs you wish to include to this email. Place the obituary text in a Word document, Google Doc, or in the body of the email. Reading Eagle also requires a way to verify the death, so include the phone number of the funeral home or cremation service that is caring for the deceased or a photo of their death certificate. We also request that your full name, phone number, and address be included in this email.

All payments by families must be made by credit card. We will send you proof of the completed obituary before requiring payment. However, the obituary will not be published until we receive full payment.

Obituaries can be submitted for any future date, but must be received no later than 3:00 pm on the day before execution to be published.
