The Cyber ​​Crimes Circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Quetta has arrested a man accused of sexually harassing and blackmailing a woman through social media.

The suspect, Hameedullah, was detained during a targeted raid in Satellite Town, Quetta. He was taken to the FIA’s Cyber ​​Crime office for questioning.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the suspect used fake Facebook profiles to pose as the victim. Through these fraudulent accounts, he shared explicit images and videos to blackmail the woman and her family. Investigators seized the suspect’s cellphone, which contained crucial evidence including the incriminating social media accounts and other related materials.

The FIA ​​​​has started an investigation into the matter. This arrest is part of their ongoing crackdown on cybercrime, with a special focus on tackling cases of online harassment and blackmail in the region.

The FIA ​​urges anyone who experiences cyber harassment to report such incidents immediately to prevent further exploitation.
