Clarkston City Administrator terminated after harassment allegations

CLARKSTON, Wash. (KLEW) — Clarkston City Administrator Steve Austin has been fired.

Clarkston City Attorney Suni Hanson confirmed to KLEW News that his resignation was effective Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

Austin has been on paid leave since September after two women filed protective orders against him. Austin is accused of harassment and assault, including touching the backsides and breasts of two female employees at work after cornering them in the office for hugs. The documents also show that Austin drove by their homes after hours.

Austin also allegedly made inappropriate comments about the way they were dressed in the office.
