Mortality is generally not a funny subject.

Still, that doesn’t stop Ricky Gervais from exploring this sensitive subject during his “Mortality Tour,” which will eventually be filmed for a Netflix special.

“We are all going to die,” Gervais said in a statement. “You might as well laugh about it. Mortality looks at the absurdities of life. And death. Bring it on.”

The world tour, which was announced in June, just extended its own life by adding four North American dates, including a show at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on Friday, April 25.

Fans can purchase tickets to all upcoming ‘Mortality’ shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale for Gervais’ four newly announced North American performances is Friday, October 25.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform and prices may be higher or lower than face value depending on demand.

They have a 100% Buyer Guarantee, which states that your transaction will be secure and delivered before the event.

Ricky Gervais comedy specials

The intercontinental foray of the creator of ‘The Office’ follows the great success of his 2023 special ‘Armageddon’.

“My last tour ‘Armageddon’ broke the world record, won a Golden Globe and was the number 1 special on Netflix. The first tickets for my new tour ‘Mortality’ go on sale today. No pressure,” Gervais joked on Instagram.

If you haven’t seen “Armageddon” – or any of Gervais’ other specials from the past – here’s how to find them:

“Animals” (2003) is streaming on Apple TV

“Politics” (2004) can be purchased on Amazon

“Fame” (2007) is streaming on YouTube

“Science” (2010) is streaming on Google Play

“Humanity” (2018) is streaming on Netflix

“Supernature” (2021) is streaming on Netflix

“Armageddon” (2023) is streaming on Netflix

Gervais has received backlash over the years for making jokes about transgender people, cancer patients and others.

In 2022, GLAAD issued a statement about “SuperNature” saying, “We watched Ricky Gervais’ ‘comedy’ special on Netflix so you don’t have to. It’s full of graphic, dangerous, anti-transrants masquerading as jokes. He also spews anti-gay rhetoric and spreads inaccurate information about HIV.”
