In the van were a 50-year-old woman, a 50-year-old man, a 25-year-old man, a 12-year-old boy, a 27-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy.

At least one of the vehicles overturned after the collision and all occupants of the van suffered minor injuries except the child, who was pronounced dead on November 9.

The Florida Highway Patrol could not determine if the boy was wearing a seat belt, but everyone else in the van was, according to the article.

Wilber is currently being held without bond at the Escambia County Jail.
