Sbarro Defeats Employee’s Appeal for Loss of Sexual Harassment Trial

A Sbarro LLC employee who says a supervisor exploited her undocumented immigrant status and need for work to repeatedly sexually abuse her failed to identify reversible error during the jury trial that dismissed her claims, the Ninth Circuit ruled.

The former employee argued that the judge’s errors in handling her sexual harassment claim under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 included admitting into evidence the record related to her immigration proceedings, the appeals court said Monday in an unpublished opinion.
