China confirms deal with India to end Ladakh border standoff: report

China confirmed on Tuesday that it has reached an agreement with India to end the standoff between the two countries’ militaries in eastern Ladakh. Beijing said a resolution had been reached on “relevant matters” and that it would work with New Delhi to implement these resolutions.

“Recently, China and India have been in close communication through diplomatic and military channels on issues related to the China-India border. Now the two sides have reached a solution on the relevant issues that China speaks highly of,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said at a press briefing.

The minister said China will work with India in the future to implement these resolutions.
