Harassment allegations lead to suicide attempt by female ASI at Telangana police station | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Claim intimidation From her eldest, a female assistant sub-inspector tried to commit suicide at Chilipiched police station Medak district on Wednesday.
While the female constable is hospitalized and out of danger, Medak police have initiated an investigation into the incident. The woman’s relatives claimed that she was on continuous bandobast duty for three days and went on rest after completing the duty.
Although she performed her duties, Chilipiched Sub-Inspector (SI) Yadagiri harassed her and marked her as absent from work. The woman also alleged that the SI discriminated between her and other staff at the police station and specifically targeted her.
She further alleged that the SI spoke rudely to her and insulted her in front of other staff at the police station.
Reportedly angry over the SI’s behavior towards her, she tried to commit suicide at the police station on Wednesday. DSP, Tandur division, S Venkat Reddy said they were verifying the facts and conducting a detailed investigation into the incident.
