WALL – A 53-year-old township resident has been charged with disorderly conduct and harassment after confronting a 17-year-old football player from Howell after a game Friday, authorities said.

Kelly Davis entered the Wall High School football field and confronted the Howell teen, city police said in a statement Sunday.

Witnesses described Davis’ behavior as “aggressive and disruptive, which caused concern among players, coaches and spectators,” according to the police news release, which did not indicate what prompted the confrontation.

Officers and school staff took control of the situation and Davis was led from the school, according to authorities. Davis was charged Saturday and is expected to appear in Wall Township Municipal Court, police said.

Wall defeated Howell 24-14 in the match.
