Mike Tyson said he can make boxing fans ‘happy’ with Jake Paul’s tactics | Boxing | Sport

Anthony Crolla believes Mike Tyson knocking out Jake Paul would “make a lot of people in boxing happy”.

As the clash between YouTube sensation Paul and boxing legend Tyson draws closer, both fighters are fine-tuning their preparations. The fight will take place on November 15 at the AT&T Arena in Arlington, Texas, where the heavyweights will face off in an officially sanctioned professional bout.

No stranger to controversy, Paul has continued to draw ire since taking on the heavyweight showdown, especially after his veteran opponent had to pull out of their initially scheduled fight due to a flare-up of a stomach ulcer. Tyson last stepped into the ring professionally in 2005, ending in a loss to Kevin McBride.

Meanwhile, ‘The Problem Child’ Jake Paul, 27, has been active since his debut in 2020. He boasts victories over notable figures such as Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz.

His only stumble inside the squared circle came in a points defeat to Tommy Fury last year. Nevertheless, Paul takes the fight to Tyson following a vicious knockout victory against ex-UFC welterweight challenger Mike Perry earlier this year.

Speaking to Freebets.com, Crolla expressed his thoughts on the upcoming titanic battle in the heavyweight arena. Although the 37-year-old has praised Paul for his efforts, he couldn’t help but question the wisdom behind putting on a fight with such a significant age difference.

Nevertheless, the ex-world boxing champion believes that ‘Iron Mike’ has a chance to surprise many in the boxing community if he manages to prevail. “I think it’s a little bit dangerous. We don’t know what kind of situation Mike Tyson will be in.” he said. “He looked great in the exhibition with Roy Jones Jr. But Jake Paul could never tie Mike’s gloves if he was anywhere near his best.

“He shouldn’t be around him (Tyson). One thing about Jake Paul is he trains like a boxer. He gives it everything he can and the improvements are undeniable. But I think it’s so hard to predict is because I don’t.” I don’t know what Mike Tyson has left.

“He could go in there and blow him away in a round or so. Jake Paul has improved, Mike Tyson’s age is crazy. It’s hard to even make sense of it, Mike is approaching 60! It’s going to be a horrible viewing experience.” or Mike Tyson would run through him, and I think he would make a lot of people in boxing happy.”

As Paul takes his upcoming fight with the boxing legend seriously, Crolla has sensationally claimed that ‘The Problem Child’ wouldn’t have too much trouble being knocked out by the icon, saying: “Yeah, he probably wouldn’t mind find to become a GIF.” The Fight Against Tommy I was more impressed with Jake than Tommy that day, even though I think Tommy just stole it. But Jake is doing his best and having good training camps.

As the showdown with Tyson draws closer, Paul has revealed he has spent countless hours reviewing the veteran’s past fights, assessing the strategy Tyson could use against him. Paul revealed his approach, saying: “To just box on the outside and then use my footwork to be more agile and let him chase me and then attack him when he’s out of position. That should get him frustrate.”
