Bawumia has distinguished himself as vice president, he will do more as president – ​​​​Ahiagbah | Politics

The Director of Communications of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has commended Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the work he has done so far as Vice President.

Mr Ahaigbah says the NPP presidential candidate for the 2024 general elections has distinguished himself as Vice President. Therefore, he added, Dr Bawumia will do even more as President.

He has therefore called on Ghanaians to vote for him.

“Between John Mahama and HE Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was president someone before and we saw what he did which led to his rejection by Ghanaians in 2016. Dr. Bawumia has never been president before, but his work as vice president shows that he has distinguished himself. This shows that he will perform more and do more as president. The manifesto he is presenting is well thought out and provides the right policies that Ghahan needs,” he said.

Mr Ahiagbah is not the only one speaking positively about Dr Bawumia.

Earlier this week, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also described Dr Bawumia as a competent person fit to become the next President of Ghana.

Mr. Akufo-Addo further indicated that he is confident that if the people of Ghana agree with him and give Dr. Bawumia a chance, he will make an excellent president.

He said this after receiving glorious admiration from the Nayiri, Tiduguma Nayiri Naa Bohagu Abdulai Mahami Sheriga and the Chiefs and people of the Mamprugu traditional area for his great years of service to the country.
The President was on a two-day visit to the Northern, Northeastern and Savannah regions of the country mainly to pay tribute to the Nayiri and people of the area for their prayers, trust and support during his two terms in office. President of Ghana.

President Akufo-Addo thanked the Nayiri for their assistance in maintaining peace in the region and helping bring peace to Bawku, asking for continued efforts to maintain peace.

He said, “I know that without your personal efforts, peace would have been difficult. So Ghana highly appreciates your role in maintaining peace and I am personally very grateful for your role. History will forever record that we worked together to make peace possible.”

While calling for support for his Vice President, President Akufo-Addo said: “When you are a great Chief and you go, you worry about the person who will occupy your seat after you. The difference between us is that you never know who will follow you, but in my case I will know who will follow me.’

“Because you are a monarch and will rule until you die, your successor will be chosen only after your death, but I am a republican and democratic head and I know who will succeed me. “That is why I have come here to seek your support to ensure that your son, my Vice President, Mahamudu Bawumia, succeeds me.”

He further stated: “I ask for your support not only because he is your son, but I believe he is extremely capable, fit and capable of being our next president. I have worked with him for the past sixteen years and in addition to being capable, capable and intellectually gifted, he is also a man of great loyalty, principled and honest. I am confident that if the people of Ghana agree with me and give him the opportunity, he will make an excellent president.”

He added: “Dr. Bawumia is well prepared and he is now ready to become president. A man with good ideas and a good program for the country. He is not proposing 24-hour discos. He is the man best qualified to lead Ghana into the fourth industrial revolution. So I want us to work together and make sure he becomes the next president of this country.”

In the Nayiri’s remarks when President Akufo-Addo visited his palace today, October 14, he acknowledged that the President’s political journey has not been easy.

“Your personal determination, steadfast and unwavering dedication have opened the iron gate and ushered in a new chapter of Ghana’s moment of glory and success. You worked with my adorable son, ZE Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to transform Ghana.”

He continued that “under your leadership, significant progress has been made in every facet of our lives in the Northeast region. You responded to my call for the creation of the North-East Region and since then we have witnessed monumental improvements in the provision of social amenities.”

“When you leave office on January 7, 2025, you will do so with pride, because you have given everything in the service of mother Ghana. Your gigantic footprints have left enormous marks in the sands of time.”
