Bellingham produced a delightful lofted effort to break their goal drought.

But he broke his 12-match goal drought in sensational fashion when he latched onto a perfect ball from centre-back Raúl Asencio and lofted it over Osasuna goalkeeper Sergio Herrera.

The England international was evidently relieved to have scored, as it gave Madrid a two-goal lead, having earlier provided the assist for Vinícius juniorInitial blow.

Bellingham then kissed the badge and showed his trademark celebration.

However, it was debutant Asencio who received praise from his teammates for the impressive pass from inside his own half.

The 21-year-old made his debut as a substitute in place of Eder Militao, who had been stretchered off with a serious knee injury.

Asencio’s assist also made him the third-youngest Spanish defender to provide an assist for Real Madrid in the last 11 years.
