LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A suspect in a car reported stolen sped on surface streets and even drove on a tire during a dangerous chase which ended up in Inglewood.

AIR7 ended the chase around 4:30 pm Friday when the suspect was driving recklessly in the South Los Angeles area.

The driver weaved violently through traffic, driving the wrong way on some streets and cut directly in front of a Metro bus.

At some point, the vehicle lost its front driver’s side tire, causing sparks to fly from the tire as the motorist sped on local streets. The driver finally stopped and he and a female passenger jumped out of the silver sedan.

The driver tried the door of a white van parked nearby in hopes of stealing it, but the door was locked.

The pair ran down several streets, but were eventually located by sheriff’s deputies near East 66th and Gay streets.
