ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office says the missing woman who was traveling to Orangeburg Thursday afternoon has been found dead.

Valerie Goff, 66, was reported missing after it was reported Friday that she had gone to the Walgreens on John C. Calhoun Drive the day before. Investigators discovered she never made it to Walgreens.

“We ask for prayers for this family,” Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said. “If you know them, please give them your comfort and support.”

Their Nissan Cube was discovered in flood waters near Glover and Andrews streets, according to spokesman Richard Walker.
