WASHINGTON – A shooting outside United Medical Center on Friday afternoon left a man seriously injured, according to D.C. police.

The incident took place near DC Southeast Hospital in the 1300 block of Southern Avenue. The department said the victim was found “breathing but unconscious” when officers and medical personnel arrived.

Surveillance cameras captured photos of a silver sedan that detectives believe is related to the shooting leaving the crime scene.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as they work to locate the shooter.
