donald trumpTrump’s presidential victory Tuesday night has apparently had no sobering effect on his penchant for urging law enforcement to take down his enemies.

On Thursday morning, the president-elect vowed emphatically that he has no intention of selling shares of his social media platform. Social Truthand demanded that authorities investigate anyone who suggests otherwise.

“There are rumors and/or false, false and probably illegal statements made, perhaps, by market manipulators or short sellers, that I am interested in selling shares of Truth,” Trump said. wrote on the platform. “THOSE RUMORS OR STATEMENTS ARE FALSE. I HAVE NO INTENTION OF SELLING!”

“I hereby request that persons who have sparked these rumors or false statements, and who may have done so in the past, be immediately investigated by the appropriate authorities,” he added. “The truth is an important part of our historic victory and I deeply believe in it. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

The platform, first launched in early 2022, had been a frequent source of Trump’s public communication, from late-night rants to official statements, as he campaigned for president.

While some have considered Trump’s threats of revenge are simply bluster, others worry that he is serious about his intention to use the power of the executive branch to exact revenge on those who oppose him once he takes office in January.
