City engineers have condemned the two-story, two-family brick house at 15 Monroe Street in Schenectady, citing dangerous structural failures.

The brick façade on the front and sides of the building has visibly arched.

Gas and electricity have been cut off in the building.

The evacuated tenants, according to Mayor Gary McCarthy, have been placed in another building owned by the same owner.

It is unclear at this time if the building can be repaired and saved.
