Jobe Bellingham, the Sunderland midfielder and younger brother of England star Jude, has been selected for his first England Under-21 team for the matches against Spain and the Netherlands.

His call-up is a reward for his contribution to propelling the Black Cats to the top of the Sky Bet Championship table.

Bellingham, 19, has represented England at all age groups, from under-16s to under-20s.

Another new face in the 24-man squad is 18-year-old Southampton midfielder Tyler Dibling, who has impressed with his first division performances this season.

Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite returns to the under-21 level after being excluded from the senior team.

The England team will travel to Cádiz to play Spain on November 15 before facing the Netherlands in Almere on November 18.

Having already secured their place in next summer’s European Championship finals, England will play their final matches under interim head coach Ben Futcher before Lee Carsley takes over again.

Carsley returns after serving as interim coach of the senior England team, which will be managed by Thomas Tuchel from January.
