Nigerian social media critic Martins Vincent Otse aka Verydarkman has expressed his anger over the turn of events between Stephen Abuwatseya and House of Representatives member Alex Ikwechegh, representing ABA North/South of Abia State.

Stephen Abuwatseya, an e-hailing driver, has apologized to Alex Ikwechegh for assaulting him during an altercation during a package delivery.

In a video message released to the press on Thursday, Abuwatseya apologized for provoking Ikwechegh and asked Nigerians for forgiveness. He also advised everyone to move on from the incident.

On October 28, Ikwechegh attacked a Bolt driver who was delivering a box to him. In a viral video, Abuwatseya filmed the altercation at Ikwechegh’s mansion in Maitama, Abuja.

The video showed the congressman, clearly enraged, repeatedly punching and cursing at the driver after he asked him to get out to pick up a package of snails meant for delivery.

Following the event, Ikwechegh issued a public statement sorryacknowledging his actions and regretting his conduct during the confrontation.

Verydarkman has played an active role in ensuring that Stephen Abuwatseya received justice and was properly compensated.

The socialite made a new online video narrating how he and his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, fought within their means to make Alex Ikwechegh pay for the wrongdoing he had reported.

VDM stated that Alex Ikwechegh and his friends contacted them to compensate the driver when the matter escalated online.

Verydarkman proposed that the taxi driver be paid N20 million and a car as compensation, although the Honorable suggested reducing it to N5 million and a car.

The TikToker claimed that the host went behind his back to establish a relationship with the hon.

He, however, made his disappointment known at the new apology he believes was imposed on the taxi driver.

He highlighted that Stephen Abuwatseya chose to work against those who confronted him during the heat of the matter.
