RICHMOND, Ind. — With several locations in Wayne County, we love our donuts, as evidenced by last week’s poll that received 1,676 votes.

By winning with 790 votes, or 47.14% of the vote, Parlor Donuts, located at 533 W. National Road in Richmond and the county’s newest donut shop, won over its competitors.

Opening its 51st Richmond location on June 8 earlier this year, Parlor Donuts differs from its competitors in that it breaks away from the traditional donut and instead focuses on using layered dough.

The company was started in 2019 out of Darrick Hayden’s love of donuts while traveling with his son’s band for several years. His love of coffee combined with Hayden’s and formed what is now Parlor Donuts.

Second place goes to…

Jack’s Donuts of Richmond, located at 3380 E. Main St., which garnered 538 votes. In addition to donuts, Jack’s also offers a variety of drinks, from different types of coffee to Boba energy drinks.

Rounding out the top three is…

Bismarck Donuts & Coffee, located at 1241 NW 5th St., received 316 votes. A popular breakfast spot for Richmond residents, the family-owned and operated shop bakes dozens of donuts and pastries daily in its in-house bakery.
