Man claiming to be King Charles’ secret love child sounds red alert from royal family | Royal | News

An Australian man claiming to be the secret love child of King Charles and Queen Camilla put royal security services on high alert this weekend.

Simon Charles Dorante-Day, 58, a British-born man, is convinced he is the illegitimate son of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, put up for adoption shortly after birth and raised by royal staff household, reports MailOnline.

He has been calling for a DNA test for years to prove his claim. However, he has now been placed on a security list amid fears he would take matters into his own hands.

With the King and Queen’s upcoming tour announced, Mr Dorante-Day hinted at plans to confront the royal couple upon their arrival in Sydney on Friday evening.

Mr Dorante-Day said in May: “What am I going to do this time? Well, it would be very foolish not to take action if he ends up in the same jurisdiction as me. But I think it would be even crazier if I revealed my hand prematurely.”

Close protection experts have now confirmed the Australian will be closely watched by royal bodyguards during the King and Queen’s visit to the country.

A conservation expert who requested anonymity told Daily Mail Australia: “There’s probably about 20 names on that watchlist already. And certainly anyone making public noise will be of great interest.

“Background checks will have already been conducted on the names they have and it is standard practice to conduct psychological evaluations based on any criminal convictions and social media.”

Mr Dorante-Day was adopted in Portsmouth, on the south coast of England, in August 1966, about eight months old, at a time when Camilla was 18 and Charles 17.

The father of nine claims his adoptive grandmother, who worked for the Queen, was involved in arranging his adoption, positioning him as a hidden member of the royal family.

He now seeks to reveal the truth and claim his place as the rightful heir to the throne, replacing William as the Prince of Wales.

However, royal security teams have reportedly informed police and ASIO to ensure he stays away from Charles and Camilla during their visit to Australia.

The royal couple will arrive in Sydney on Friday evening, spend the weekend there and travel to Canberra on Monday before returning to Sydney for their departure on Wednesday.

The Royal Protection Squad will ensure that Mr Dorante-Day is kept at bay during the journey.

“The police have the authority to notify anyone they deem necessary,” said the nanny with 30 years of experience in protecting stars and high-profile dignitaries.

The expert added: “The psychological assignment would have determined whether that was necessary at all.

“They take everything into account, including any resentment the person may have toward them, and also watch for irritable behavior.”
